We are looking for a WordPress expert, a hands-on, well-rounded team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, works to tight deadlines and can bring fresh thinking and new ideas to improve our website’s performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our clients website ensuring all necessary changes and updates are completed, reviewed and tested in line with business requirements
  • Implement Exasol’s website strategy in line with our go to market strategy and business goals
  • Work closely with the marketing team to optimize our website and content in order to reach and engage our target personas, maximize conversions and support lead nurturing activities
  • Implement and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the website
  • Write and optimize front-end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies to create engaging user experiences
  • Use GitHub to manage code versioning and perform code reviews
  • Conduct website testing and implement changes as needed to improve website performance and user experience
  • Work with the email marketing team to develop email templates that are visually appealing and optimized for the target personas
  • Lead on UX design and testing to improve the usability of our website and landing pages on all devices
  • Work across multiple teams, including our IM and ITM teams, to ensure proper integration between tools and security measures.
  • Work closely with the MarComms team to ensure digital tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, PPC campaigns and our website work in harmony to accurately track overall campaign and specific channel performance
  • Monitor and research industry trends, competitors’ online activity and visitor behavior and recommend best practices and new functionality and enhancements to improve our website

Your profile:

  • 3+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with website testing and landing page design
  • Extensive knowledge of WordPress plug-ins, APIs and hosting
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Previous experience working with WP Engine and Next.js
  • Strong understanding of website security and securing WordPress
  • A team player and collaborative worker with a flexible approach to supporting website changes and updates
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
